No Word & Good News

Well, the project I was recommended for by the Casting Director before I left for Kentucky has disappeared from the radar screen for the moment.  Of course, this is all part of the process.  Everything has to align to book a great role -- the right project -- the right timing -- the right audition performance -- and then the project itself has to get the green light for production.  When they tell you that acting in Hollywood is mostly about handling rejection -- they're definitely telling the truth!

On another note, I had a great experience auditioning for what would be a great role in an uplifting movie with a very positive message.  My manager, Marnie Cooper, called right after the audition to let me know that "I'm in the mix", which is good news because I was able to go straight to call back for this project.  That means that I didn't participate in the first round of auditions and when I go back to audition again, it will be for a 2nd "call back".  I loved the script and I really related to the character so I've got high hopes, oh, I've got, high hopes... (sorry, I had a goofy song moment there!)

My mom moves to Arizona next week, which is cool because she'll be a lot closer to Southern California than she was in Kentucky!

I'm having a family pool day today, so ciao for now

XOXO,
Gracie
