My Summer In Kentucky
I've a really great summer in Kentucky! I only have a few weeks left before I go back to Los Angeles for the pilot audition season. Even though its a lot of fun to spend time with all my family in Louisville and Centertown, I'm actually pretty much ready to get back to L.A. where I can continue working hard toward my dream of becoming a successful working actor.

Hey, soon it will be my birthday! I will be 12 years old on July 11th and I'm planning a water balloon and water gun party with lots of my cousins and my friends in Louisville. My dad gave me a cool early birthday gift -- a 30G Video I-Pod that I love. I already have several movies downloaded and its so cool to be able to just watch a movie or listen to a favorite song anywhere and anytime I want.
Here's some of the fun stuff I've been up to lately:
*Dad, Nicole and I spent a weekend at our cousins lake home in Tennessee. We took lots of silly pictures, ate a 5 star dinner at an interesting restaurant that had been converted from a FUNERAL HOME and had lunch on the lake at the marina just down from the lake house.
*I'm spending lots of time with my mom, bonus dad and brother at our lake home in Kentucky. We have fun little house right on the water. Some of my cousins also have places in the same development so we all play together, wakeboard, ride our tubes, ride our four wheelers and do lots of lake stuff together. It's sort of like one big summer camp and lots of times we have big cook-outs where everyone eats together. It's just a lot of fun and just exactly how summer should be. I feel like I'm really lucky to get to spend time at such a neat place and make so many fun memories.
*I go to my dad's place in the country a lot, too. He and Niki have a perfect little country house in a really, really small town. The best part is that my Nannyand Paw Paw live right beside them in what used to be my great-grandparent's home and where my Paw Paw grew up. Get this - the little country store I can walk to from our house is called "Grace's Store". The Grace who used to own the store was good friends with my Granny Grace, who was my Nanny's mom and is the person I'm named after. When I'm with my dad, Nanny always cooks all my favorites and basically I get the star treatment 24/7. I don't realy many friends of my own there because I'm never there except a few days at a time, but, my brother has lots of friends there because he lives there with Dad all the time. They are all nice to me, though, and I even went with Warren to his friend Dillon's house the last time I was there.
*With my Dad, we also go to his and Niki's Nashville apartment sometimes. I love Nashville! We always get sushi when we go. We get our sushi at a great sushi place near the apartment that I think Niki eats at almost everyday. Since my brother is now planning to go to the Nashville Performing Arts High School, he and Dad will be living more in Nashville than in the country starting in the fall. I'm really excited for Warren because he is a really naturally talented actor and I think he's going to get even better at such a great school.
*In Louisville, I most spend time with my family. My mom is really close with her brother and all her sister's who all live in Louisville. So, we go spend lots of time visiting each other and doing things together. My Poppers and Nanna, my mom's parents, also live live in Louisville and I see them as much I can when I'm in town as well.
*This week is Independence Day, so we'll be celebrating like everyone else on July 4th with a cook-out, boating and lots of lake fun.
Ok... that's about it for now. I hope everyone's having a great summer! I want to wish my brother a very happy 14th birthday on July 23rd and my Nanny a happy birthday on July 26th.
All The Best,
Gracie

What about acting and modeling? and when can we see the pictures from Sears?!??! Good
Luck!

There will be a single picture for Sears that will run in Sears national print advertising for their "back-to-school" campaign in the late summer. I don't really have any other information for the Sears ads - sorry! I had a call-back recently for a cable TV movie but did not get the role. I was very excited to get the call-back because your chances to land a major role go up each time you get a call-back. I also auditioned for a role as Kevin Costner's daughter in a major motion picture and received good feedback but also did not get the part.
That's kind of the way it is -- you audition as much as possible and hope for call-backs and great opporunities. I look at every audition as another chance to have fun, learn and get better.
I will be going back at the end of this month for pilot audition season and I'm really excited about to get back to L.A and get back in the groove of auditions, school work and becoming a better actress!

Thanks so much for asking and for visiting my blog

Hi Gracie!
The Dr Phil show with the episode "Make my kid a star- part 1 " just aired in South Africa, where I am from.
I was really glad to see that in the end you won! I think you have LOADS of talent and I hope we South Africans will hear a bit more of you too!
I was wondering though, would you be interested in doing an email-blog-interview? I do interviews with South African bands/musicians and artist via email and then I publish the final product with pictures, web addy's etc on my blog.
I think an interview with you could be loads of fun. You also only answer the questions you want to. So no pressure. I dont receive any kind of payment for the blogs and it is out of pure fun. Maybe that way, South Africans can learn a bit more about you?
Please let me know if you are interested!
Kind Regards

Hey Laura-Marie!
Wow! I didn't even know there were places where Dr. Phil's "Make My Kid A Star" was just now airing. That's pretty cool. I really appreciate your nice compliments. I don't know much about South Africa, but, I'm going to take some time to learn more.
Sure, I'd love to do an email interview with you for your blog - that would be a lot of fun for me and I'm really flattered you want to interview me
Also, if you could send a link to your blog as well, that would be great!
Thank you so much for commenting on blog!
XOXO
