Gracie Has Whirlwind Schedule After Dr. Phil Contest Airs Nationally

Hollywood, CA - Gracie had a busy and exciting May. After her big Dr. Phil experience, Gracie went home to Kentucky to spend time with family and friends.  Gracie was a featured participant in her father's annual hometown festival known as The Strawberry Festival.  Gracie rode in the parade, supported the many events and was on-hand to sign autographs and take pictures with those who wanted a picture with her.  Next, she spent some time with her mother, bonus dad and brothers at their lake home.  The next weekend had her travelling for a weekend trip to another lake home in Tennessee for some quality time with her bio dad.

The R & R was a nice break before Gracie headed to New York City to shoot an ad for Sears, which was set-up as a result of her success on Dr. Phil's "Make My Kid a Star" competition.

As soon as Gracie returned back to Kentucky from New York City, her agents called her back to L.A. for a couple of very exciting opportunities.  Gracie received a 'call back' audition for the lead role in a planned made-for-TV movie based on the popular teen novel "Pictures of Hollis Woods".  Next, she had a first audition for the role in a major motion picture where she would play the daughter to a character to be played by Kevin Costner.

As you'd expect, Gracie's excited about these opportunities and has her fingers crossed that she'll be chosen for one or both of these major roles!

As another benefit of Grace's Dr. Phil win, she had a photo shoot with John XXXX, a respected Hollywood photographer.  One of everyone's favorites from that shoot is shared below:

Gracie says, "Everyone's been so nice and encouraging since the Dr. Phil contest aired on TV.  I just want to say 'Thank you!' to everyone and ask you to keep your fingers crossed for me!"

If anyone would like an autographed picture, send an email with your address to kurtmaddox@gmail.com and Gracie will send one to you as soon as possible!

    Hi Gracie,
I'm a teacher in Canada and just wanted to let you know how wonderful I thought you were. You are a terrific actress and if I was your mom I would have packed up and moved to L.A. too. I know you are going to be huge! Please remain the polite and caring girl that are you now. I'm not too worried though because your mom is doing a fabulous job and I know she'll look out for you when you make it big! Take care and good luck!

      Ms. Barbarich,

My mom's a teacher as well!  She taught elementary school and has a degree in Education from the University of Louisville.  She's been my home school teacher when I'm in L.A.  Home school's OK, but, sometimes its harder to be motivated at home than it is when you know you're teacher's going to ask you for your homework the next day.

Thanks for sending such a nice message!  You are right that I have great parents and that they always help me keep a good perspective on things.

      What grade do you teach?

      XOXO,

      ~Gracie
